  • Feast of Lady of our Mount Carmel

    The feast of our lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated on 15th July 2025 at our school auditorium with great reverence . Before commencing the celebration, the inauguration of the new acrylic board ' I LOVE CARMEL' was held in the school yard . The event was graced by Rev Fr Lancy Lewis OCD , who officially unveiled the board in the presence of the Headmistress Sr Dorin Jacques AC, Assistant headmistress Sr Renita Baretto AC, sisters, staff and students . The installation of the acrylic board marked a step forward in enhancing interactive learning environment . After the inauguration the guest and dignitaries were lead to the auditorium , where it was beautifully decorated with the poster of Lady of our Mount Carmel. It was a significant event dedicated to our lady Mount Carmel expressing a token of gratitude to the patroness of the carmelite. To invoke the blessings of Almighty the programme began with a prayer service followed by a prayer dance dedicated to mother of Mount Carmel which created a serene ambience. Dignitaries and gatherings were given a warm welcome by offering flower pots. The story of Mount Carmel was portrayed through a PowerPoint presentation which gave a brief description of the establishment of the Apostolic Carmel by Mother Veronica on July 16th 1868 in France. A meaningful and value based skit was presented by the students of class 7th that carried a message to surrender to Mother Mary and follow her virtues with faith and humility. The choir group of ' Carmel Blossoms' presented a hymn in praise of the lady of Mount Carmel followed by an entertainment dance presented by the students of class 3rd and class 7th. The performances showcased the devotion and love for the mother of Carmel. The Honorable guest Rev Fr Lancy Lewis OCD addressed the gathering extending greetings to all who contributed to the success of the programme . His message emphasized the need to follow Mary's virtues in our daily lives and to become honest children of Mary of Mount Carmel. Prize distribution ceremony was held as a part of the vibrant celebration to reward the talents of a students. Our chief guest awarded the winners of various competitions conducted in connection with the Carmel feast. The ceremony served as an inspiration for all the students to participate actively in future events. The day concluded with the distribution of sweets to all present followed by vote of thanks to the gatherings. The celebration deepened the spiritual bond faith and instilled Mariam values in the hearts of students and school community. " What a joy to remember that she is our Mother! Since she loves us and knows our weakness, what is there to fear? "
