    The Parent Teacher Association General body meeting of Carmel School ,Nanjangud was conducted on August 23rd 2025 in the school auditorium with the wholehearted participation of parents and teachers. The programme began with the registration of parents which was smoothly organized by our teachers. Parents were warmly received at the entrance with a beautifully decorated Welcome board .Teachers warmly received the parents and guided them through the registration process ensuring cordial beginning to the session . The formal session commenced with a prayer dance by the students invoking God's blessings. The dignitaries Mr Mahesh,Asst teacher, Muddalli and Secretary of Karnataka state govt employee association and Mr Cholaraj ,Ex Zilla Panchayat Member of Mysore and Ex wild life warden of Karnataka government,Sr Aruna Maria AC ,the Joint secretary , Sr Dorin Jacques AC ,the Headmistress lit the Ceremonial lamp symbolising enlightenment .Our headmistress welcomed the gathering and delivered an inspiring message on the importance of partnership between parents and teachers in the holistic development of children . It was followed by the presentation of the annual academic report highlighting the achievements of the students in both scholastic and co scholastic areas. Parents were delighted to see the vibrant school life through this visual journey which included Christmas celebration, farewell and outstanding result of SSLC students , academic highlights, sports achievements, awareness programs, Carmel feast , Independence day celebration , educational trip and many other events. The highlight of the meeting was the speech by the chief guest Mr Mahesh. In his motivation address, he praised the school for its consistent academic excellence. He urged parents to have special concern on their children. He spoke about the growing misuse of mobile phones among students, cautioning parents to monitor their children's gadget usage closely. It affects discipline and harm their mental well-being. This was followed by the motivational speech of Mr Cholaraj, who emphasized the holistic development of students. He stressed that true education goes beyond textbooks. It should instill values, encourage creativity and nurture emotional and social growth. He also highlighted the need of strong bond between teachers and parents to support their children in every stage of learning. Later an interactive discussion with parents was held where topics such as academics, discipline ,safety , transport facilities and extra curricular opportunities were addressed. Parents contributed valuable suggestions, which were welcomed by our Headmistress and assured the parents that their suggestions would be carefully considered for all round growth of students. The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the parents and staff for their active participation and to Mr Mahesh and Mr Cholaraj for their valuable presence. The school honoured the guests with a fruit basket and momentos as a token of gratitude. The event ended on a warm note with refreshments served to all, allowing parents and teachers to interact informally . The meeting served as an effective platform for strengthening the collaboration between the school, the parents and the teachers with the vision of nurturing the future of the  children.
