  • Season of Creation - 2025 celebration report

    Carmel English School, Nanjangud joined the universal Christian community in celebrating the season of creation 2025 from September 1st to October 4th. This year's theme, 'Peace with Creation', emphasizes the vision of a renewed creation where peace and justice flourish. The chosen symbol, the Garden of Peace with the Dove carrying an olive branch, served as an inspiring reminder of hope and care for our common home created by God . The celebration began with a special prayer by the students of class 5th, invoking God's blessings on all creation. The stagda was beautifully decorated with branches and banners related to season of creation, symbolized the Garden of Peace to remind everyone of hope, renewal and reconciliation with nature. Students came forward to explain the significance of the day highlighting the importance of protecting nature and living in harmony with all of creation. A lively dance performance by the students added colour to the celebration and spread the message of unity with the envirnment. After the student's presentations, the teachers came forward with a short but inspiring programme which conveyed the message of responsibility , unity and shared effort in caring for the environment. They sang a beautiful song on the season of creation. Their heartfelt singing inspired everyone. With great enthusiasm, teachers staged a skit that beautifully explained why God created us and hot we should preserve every creation of God. Their performance carried a deep message of responsibility and gratitude towards the creator. Following the skit, our teachers conducted a quiz competition that tested the knowledge of students on season of creation 2025 and environmental issues. The winners were awarded prizes on the stage which encouraged everyone to actively participate and take interest in ecological awareness. The programme concluded with motivating words from our Headmistress Sr Dorin Jacques AC, promising to respect nature, avoid waste and adopt eco friendly habits in daily life. The day left a lasting impression, inspiring students and teachers alike to work together for a greener and peaceful world. On October 4th, our students prepared a variety of beautiful crafts representing God's creation such as plants, flowers, birds, butterflies, fishes and other aquatic animals using eco friendly materials. As a part of the celebration, the students came together to form a spectacular display in the school courtyard arranging themselves to spell out the words ' CARMEL SEASON OF CREATION' .The formation symbolized unity, teamwork and their collective appreciation for the beauty of nature. Each student of class 7, 8 , 9 and 10 contibuted individually and as a team highlighting the spirit of togetherness. It was a memorable event that reminded all that creation is a precious gift of God, to be cherished and cared for by every human being. " Future generations will never forgive us if we miss the opportunity to protect our common home. We have inherited a garden; we must not leave a desert for our children"
