Our school celebrated establishment day on 19th November at Carmel English school with great enthusiasm and participation. The programme commenced with the short prayer service involking God's blessings for the success of the day this was followed by a traditional lamp lightning and offer flowers to the piccture for our foundress Venerable Mother Veronica by our esteemed guests,Sr Myrtle Vice Principal of Carmel composite PU college and Sr Dorine Jaques Headmistress Carmel English School,Sr Lorna and Assistant teacher Mrs Nethravathi. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by our students. The establishment day of the apostolic Carmel congregation is commemorated on November 19th. Each year this day marks the arrival of the first three Apostolic carmel sisters in India in 1870, sent by the foundress venerable Mother Veronica of the passion to establish the mission of the congregation. The congregation itself was founded earlier on July 16,1868 in Bayonne,France by mother Veronica who was inspired to dedicate herself and others to the education and welfare of girls particularly in mission territories like India. Establishment day for the apostolic Carmel is both a spiritual and historical celebration observed annually on November 19th recognising the birth of the congregation in India and the visionary mission of Mother Veronica begun in 1868 in Frances. The students were presented meaningful skit dance and song under the guidance of sister Lorna and teacher Netravathi.The guest address the students about the importance of establishment day. The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks. At last all the teachers and students sang the school anthem.
