The joyous festival of Christmas was celebrated with a great enthusiasm and devotion at Carmel English School on 22nd December in the school auditorium.The entire Auditorium was decorated beautifully with stars lights Christmas trees and colourful ornaments spreading the true spirit of Christmas love Joy peace and sharing. The programme began with prayer service invoking God's blessings upon everyone, the prayer highlighted the importance of love forgiveness and kindness in our daily lives.The Christmas message delivered by Sister Lorna and Mr Thomas Ashok Kumar ,senior executive officer human resources Nestle company Nan jangid. The guest emphasized the values thought by Jesus Christ and encouraged the students to practice compassion and humanity Students actively participated in various cultura programmesl such as Carol swinging,skits depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. Group dances and speeches, the melodious carols filled the atmosphere with the happiness and devotion while the skit beautifully portrayed the Christmas story and its message of hope and salvation Teachers Nivedita and Asha Rani guided the students As part of the Christmas celebration a prize distribution ceremony was held to encourage and appreciate the talents of students various competitions such as Santa Mask making drawing of Santa tree,cake colouring and decoration of Christmas tree.Star making and Carol singing were conducted in the festive spirit. The winners were honoured with the prizes by our headmistress Sister Dorin Jacques,sister Lorna and our chief guest Mr Thomas Ashok Kumar. The price distribution added joy and excitement to the celebration and highlighted the importance of recognizing talent,effort and creativity among Students. A part of the Christmas celebrations a joyful secret Santa activity was organised among the teacher's. Each teacher secretly gifted another spreading happiness love and festive and a warm Smiles created a cheerful atmosphere and strengthened the bond of friendship and Unity among the Staff. The speciality of this year's activity was,activity began with our be loved headmistressm and ends with head mistress. Finally as a token of love headmistress offer sweets to all the teaching non teaching staffs and Students The programme concluded with the vote of tanks.The Christmas celebration created a joyful atmosphere and left everyone with a warm memories and true festive spirit.
