    The Carmel Treasure Retreat was meaningfully conducted in the auditorium of Carmel English School, Nanjangud. This value-based, holistic, and spiritual programme was organised for Class 10 students with the aim of nurturing their inner growth and character formation. The retreat provided students with a calm and reflective environment to pause, think deeply, and reconnect with the core values of life. Through guided sessions and thoughtful activities, students were encouraged to move beyond mere academic excellence and focus on self-discipline, responsibility, compassion, and moral integrity. 09:41 This retreat was designed to help students reflect on their values, relationships, challenges, happiness, success, and life goals through talks, meditation, and interactive sessions guided by teachers and sisters. Session-wise Detailed Explanation 9:10 - 9:40 | Introduction & Meditation - Sr. Dorin The retreat begins with a formal introduction explaining the purpose of the program. Meditation along with nature walk session helped students calm their minds, improve concentration, and prepare mentally for the day. Set a peaceful and positive atmosphere for the retreat. 9:40 – 10:30 | Talk 1: My Value System – Tr. Preethy Focused on personal values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and kindness. Helped students understand: What values guide their decisions How values shape character and behavior Encourages self-reflection on right and wrong. 10:30 – 10:45 | Break Short refreshment break for rest and relaxation. 10:50 – 11:30 | Talk 2: How Do I Relate? & The Key to Change Is in My Hands – Sr. Renita Discusses relationships with family, friends, teachers, and society. Emphasizes: Healthy communication Respect and empathy "The key to change is in my hands" highlights personal responsibility and self-improvement. 11:30 - 12:15 | Talk 3: Challenges - Tr. Alice Joy Explains the challenges students face in life such as fear, failure, peer pressure, and self-doubt. Teaches students: Challenges are part of growth How to face difficulties with courage and confidence 12:15 – 1:00 | Talk 4: Happiness – Tr. Manjula Focused on the true meaning of happiness. Explained that happiness comes from: Contentment Gratitude Positive thinking Encourages finding joy beyond material things. 1:00 – 1:30 | Lunch Break Time for lunch and relaxation. 1: 30 – 2:10 | Talk: Elements of Success – Tr. Latha Highlighted key factors needed for success such as: Discipline Hard work Goal setting Perseverance Motivates students to stay focused and determined. 2:15 – 3:00 | Goal Directed Choices – Sir Mahadev Prasad Teaches how choices affect future goals. Helps students learn: Decision-making skills Choosing wisely based on values and goals Encourages responsibility for one’s actions. 3:00 – 3:15 | Break Short break to refresh before the final session. 3:15 – 4:00 | Conclusion – Tr. Ashalakshmi & Tr. Swetha Summarizes all sessions of the retreat.
