Constitution day 2025- 26

On the 26th of November 2025 we celebrated constitution day at Carmel English School Nanjangud to,commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of Indian.The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of the constitution and to instill values of justice ,Liberty and equality. The programme started with a prayer service invoking God's blessings followed by a brief introduction about the importance of constitution day and the and its historical significance. Sister Dorine Jacques the headmasters Carmel English School Sister Lorna Assistant teacher , Preethi Assistant teacher, Mahadev Prasad Assistant teacher and our esteemed guest Mr Vijay Kumar assistant teacher social science state level resource person Government High School Thandava Pura offered flowers to the photo of Dr BR Ambekar. Students of Electoral literacy club (ELC) of our school organised a special programme to create awareness among students about democratic values electrol rights and the importance of active citizenship. The programme was conducted with the objective of educating students about the significance of the Constitution of India and the role of citizens in strengthening democracy members of the ELC actively participated and took the lead in presenting the activities under the guidance of Teacher Mahadev Prasad. Speech was a delivered by Mr Vijay Kumar he highlighted about Dr B R Ambedkar's role in the making of the constitution and the rights and duties of the citizens students solemnly took the Preamble pledge reaffirming their commitment to upload the values and principles and enriched in the constitution the Preamble was read aloud clearly and confidently encouraging sense of Unity about fundamental rights and duties. Overall the ELC program was highly informative and engaging successfully spreading awareness about constitutional values and the importance of electrol participation among students. The program concluded with vote of thanks expression gratitude to all the participants and organises for making the event meaningful and successful.
