Carmel English School, Nanjangud, marked the beginning of the new academic year 2026–27 with a warm and joyful reopening ceremony on 1st June 2026. The school entrance was beautifully decorated with colourful buntings, creating a festive atmosphere to welcome the students. The students were warmly received at the school gate by Sr. Maria Smitha AC (Administrator), Sr. Dorin Jacques AC (Headmistress), and the teaching staff. They greeted the students by showering flower petals and extending their heartfelt wishes for a successful academic year. A grand welcome programme for students of Classes I to X was held in the school auditorium. The programme was thoughtfully organized and conducted by the students of Class X. It began with a solemn prayer service, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by Sr. Maria Smitha AC (Administrator), Sr. Dorin Jacques AC (Headmistress), teachers, and students, symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom. The Headmistress formally welcomed the newly appointed Administrator, Sr. Maria Smitha AC, by presenting her with a bouquet. The Administrator, in turn, welcomed the newly appointed teachers by presenting them with flowers as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement. The Headmistress also extended a warm welcome to the newly admitted students with her inspiring words and a heartfelt round of applause from the gathering. Addressing the students and staff, both the Administrator and the Headmistress delivered motivating messages, encouraging everyone to work with dedication, confidence, and enthusiasm throughout the academic year. They wished all the students and teachers a successful, joyful, and fruitful academic year 2026–27. The programme concluded with a gracious vote of thanks proposed by a Class X student, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, marking the successful commencement of another promising academic year at Carmel English School, Nanjangud.
